PRAYER
God, our Father, we thank You for revealing Your Son Jesus to us and for giving us eternal life in Him.  Increase in us our faith and zeal, that we may desire and more diligently seek the salvation of our neighbors through the message of the Gospel of Your son, Jesus.  Make us ready to share the good news of Christ with many.  Guide our speaking, our hearing, our responding, and our praying for others so that many more may be saved, for the sake of Your Son Jesus.  Amen.

FROM THE MISSION BOARD
Just a reminder about Trinity’s missions for 2018.      The Board chose the Northfield Community Resource Center, Ruth’s House, the Northfield’s Women’s Center, Chai v’ Shalom, and Lutheran Bible Translators.  We have been highlighting each one of these on the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall.  There is currently information on the bulletin board about Ruth’s House.  Please keep these missions in your prayers and help monetarily as you are able.  So far in 2018, we have given each of our missions $500.  Thank you for your support.

COME TO TRINITY’S NATIONAL NIGHT OUT PARTY
Our Third Annual National Night Out Party will be on Tuesday, August 7th, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., rain or shine.  There will be food, games and activities for everyone under a circus tent, music, the car show, a bouncy house, special gifts, and lots of great conversations.  We’ve invited the neighborhood and the Northfield police and firefighters to join us for a fun evening, and you’re welcome to invite your family, friends, and neighbors!  Here’s how you can be an important part of this great annual event:
Pray for God’s blessings, including great weather and a big turnout
Volunteer to help either before, during, or after the party
Attend the party, have fun, and be a good host to our guests
Many thanks to the members of this year’s committee: Pastor Klein, Pastor and Judy Boehme, Kurt Anderson, Terri Casmey, and Holly Ciffra. If you have any questions or can help, please call Barb Anderson (507-581-1642).

CHANGE IN DATE
Please note that the date for the July voter’s assembly meeting is wrong on the July calendar that was in your monthly newsletter.  The date for the Voters Assembly is July 29 at 10:45 am.  I apologize for the error.  The calendars at church and on the website are correct.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR VBS
We need people to help camp staff with groups during the week of VBS, assist with snack and staff lunch prep, housing for camp staff, and donations of snacks for campers (some snack suggestions: Oreos, Goldfish crackers, Cheez-Its, pretzels).
Camp Okoboji will be leading VBS this summer!  Come join the fun!  It will be August 6th-10th.  Monday-Thursday will be from 9:00am-3:00pm and Friday from 9:00am-12:00pm. Cost is $30 per child (Kindergarten-5th grade).  Children should bring a bag lunch each day.  Snack will be provided. Registration forms are available in the church office or on church website: www.trinitylutheran.org.  There is also a copy of each form on the hallway bulletin board.  Forms and registration fee(s) can be turned into a member of the Board of Ed or in the church office.  For questions, ask Julie Nybakke (jewels1112@hotmail.com) or another member on the Board of Ed (Terri Casmey, Audry Hovland).

LWML CONVENTION UPDATE
The Verizon Center in Mankato, Minn. served as the convention site for the June 29-30, 2018 LWML Minnesota South District (MSD) Convention. 1 Corinthians 15:10a, But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain, was the basis for the theme, "Grace Above All." LWML MSD Counselors led Christian Life Bible studies on water, word, and table of grace. Rev. Dr. Gary Zieroth, assistant professor of Pastoral Ministry and Missions, dean of Students and director of Vicarage at Concordia Theological Seminary Ft. Wayne energized the attendees as convention Bible study leader. Inspiring mission speakers were Rev. Ben Griffin, Executive Director of LINC Twin Cities and Rev. Ryan McDermott, Area Facilitator for Deaf Ministry-West and Central Africa. LWML Senior Pastoral Counselor Rev. Robert Mundahl served as Proclaimer at the Friday evening Worship Service. LWML Public Relations Director Michelle Zollinger brought greetings from the LWML and commented that God's grace was evident and exuding in the gifts and hearts of the 325 Lutheran Women in Mission of the LWML Minnesota South District. LWML MSD President Margaret Hesemann conducted the business of the district that included approving a $285,000 2018-2020 Mission Goal with 13 mission grants selected, updating bylaws, and electing officers. Following the installation of officers, the convention was adjourned by newly elected president of the LWML MSD Debra Vinkemeier.
Thank You to all who donated for the Gifts from the Heart from Trinity. Totals collected at the convention were, Baby Kits - 438, Hospice Kits - 553 and Separate Baby items 977 pieces. Lynn Webber and Mary Ozmun attended as delegates from Trinity.
